Dance Placement Auditions

Interested students must complete the Dance Minor Form and attend a Placement Audition. All Dance Minor students must meet with a Department Faculty Advisor before completing registration each semester. Advisors help with selection of courses, application of transfer credit, and general academic requirements, policies, and procedures.

Dance Placement Auditions will be held in-person in the Fall and Spring Semesters. Click DANCE@UNT PLACEMENT AUDITION for more important information.

Audition Schedule 2023-2024:

  • Dance Placement Auditions: August 16, 2023, from 1pm-2:30pm
  • Dance Placement Auditions: January 8, 2024, from 1pm-2:30pm
  • Dance Placement Auditions: April (TBA), 2024, from 1pm-2:30pm

NOTE: The Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a major in Dance will not be accepting new students after August 26, 2022. Dance courses to complete a robust minor will continue to be offered. Students currently majoring in dance at UNT will have until the end of Summer term 2028 to complete the major.
